Ray Cosmetic Limited, an indigenous beauty products manufacturing firm with factory in Aba, Abia State, has rolled out its lines of hair-care products into the local market.
The company, which started operations in February, 2014, produces hair relaxers, shampoo, pink oil, weavon oil, hair conditioners, among other ranges of hair-care products.
Vivian Isiakpu, the company’s marketing manager in an interview with BusinesDay, affirms that the company’s major aim of coming into the manufacturing sector is to get back the interest of Nigerians in locally made products.
Isiakpu, who spoke well of the company’s products, insists that it is her firm’s plan to change people’s orientation that foreign made products are of better quality that those produced locally.
“And that is why we took opportunity on this. And to do this, we engaged well-qualified hands in the production area. The head of our production unit is a very qualified person that has been in the industry for over 20 years, and he knows his onions.
“And we’ve not had any major complaints on our products since we started. And within four to five months that we launched out, it has been success stories all through.
“I have been in this industry for some time now, and I know that it took some companies quite a long time to get the trust of dealers and consumers, especially when it concerns hair relaxers, but it is not so with us, as our products are doing well in the market,” she says.
