Oyo State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (OYRUWASSA) at the weekend took delivery of a new drilling rig with compressor.
The State government recently announced that it had acquired the drilling rig and would be shipped to Nigeria for the use of Oyo State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, OYRUWASSA.
The Chairman, OYRUWASSA, Najeem Omirinde who disclosed this in Ibadan at the weekend ,however assured the residents of the State of water sufficiency, especially at the rural areas.

The procurement and delivery of the Indian made drilling rig by the current administration, led by governor Seyi Makinde, Omirinde said, was a testament to the fact that it would no longer be business as usual in the State, especially in the area of water supply and sanitation.
While lauding the governor for promising and delivering on making potable water accessible to the people stated “this is another promise fulfilled and we congratulate the good people of Oyo State for having such a governor with human passion, especially for those at the rural areas of the State.
According to him, we all know the importance of water for healthy living and sanitation as well as for other aspects of life, we assure the people that with this machine in place and the quality known with this type of rig, we will make water sufficiency a priority.
