Commercial activities were paralysed in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital as well as some cities in the state as the youths continued with the EndSARS protests.
The protests spread to Ogbomosho, Oyo, and other towns in the state on Monday.
The youths blocked major roads within the ancient city on Monday including link roads to press home their demands.
Armed with various placards, the youths who blocked virtually everywhere had set out by 6 am.
The development led to the traffic snarl within the city for hours.
Many workers, students, and commuters resorted to trekking their destinations.
As early as possible a good number of youths gathered in front of the State Secretariat, Agodi, with the main gates locked by security operatives manning them.
The protesters however allowed vehicles to move freely, forcing motorists to shout the EndSARS slogan.
Also, on major roads at the Orita-Challenge axis of the town and at the Bus-Stop area of Gate, the youths blocked the Oje-Gate road, threatening motorists who dared to clear the road.
The banks along the Orita-Challenge axis and other concerns did not open, for fear of being attacked by the protesters.
During the protests, few well-wishers were seen supplying free soft drinks, water, and light snacks to protesters
Likewise, the Ibadan end of the Lagos/Ibadan expressway was blocked by the angry Nigerians who are calling for a total ban of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The road was blocked in the early hours of Monday by the protesters which links Ibadan and other parts of the country in continuation of a nationwide call for the ban of SARS.
This led to many commuters stranded on the expressway.
The protesters demanded a total police reform saying banning SARS is not enough but an end to police brutality.
