AXA Mansard Insurance plc, a member of the AXA Group and global leader in insurance and asset management has announced its commitment to continuously support the fight against Covid-19. This was made known on Saturday, 26th September 2020 during the charity run tagged “AXA Run” organized by the AXA Group.
To further demonstrate its support AXA held a 24-hour relay run / walk involving AXA employees and other members of the society to support people out of breath because of COVID-19 disease. The challenge took place over 24 Hours across 43 countries, from Friday 25th to Saturday 26th September. Departure at 12pm in France > arrival at 12pm in France the next day. AXA Mansard participated in this global challenge between 7am and 8a.m September 26th with several employees and family members participating. AXA has committed to making donations of N5,000 per participants to the Nigerian Red Cross towards their role in creating awareness for the prevention of COVID 19.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at AXA Mansard, Olajumoke Odunlami noted that “AXA Mansard has received positive feedback for most of its societal engagements including supporting hospitals and healthcare frontlines, giving mental health hotlines to people with stress & anxiety beyond its own employees and leveraging its core business, Health Insurance, to provide teleconsultation services. The AXA Run afforded us the opportunity to further demonstrate our commitment showing that everyone has a part to play in making the world a healthier and better place”.
“The sense of responsibility displayed by AXA staff around the world towards initiative is truly commendable, as staff came out in their numbers from the comfort of their homes to participate in the run. This also links back to the Group’s purpose which is focused on collective efforts aimed at supporting human progress”. She continued.
Mrs Jumoke Odunlami concluded by stating that “AXA Run was also aimed at supporting organisations which have stood by Nigerians during these unprecedented times, showing relentless efforts in combating the pandemic. To this end, we will be making monetary donations to the Nigeria Red Cross Society, as part of our resolve to meaningfully respond to the needs of the society at these times”
