Government of Osun State are looking to raise 500 million naira through crowdfunding . Osogbo, Osun- 8th– June 2020- In light of the global pandemic which has affected the state of Osun, the government has embarked on crowdfunding project and it is using Quickraiz as its platform to reach its goal.
Osun State which was one of the first to be hit by the coronavirus currently has 49 cases. The state has successfully put different measures in place to contain the virus. They currently have an isolation center with up to 350-bed spaces. They, however, seek the help of the public to maintain and equip the isolation centre, increase their security ability and fund their Food and Relief committee which helps in providing for the people of the state during this period.
Governmental bodies of the state were interviewed to enlighten the public on the reasons behind the crowdfunding request.
Mr. Jimoh Adebayo, secretary of the Food and Relief committee stated that the state, even with all the measures put in place to keep the people of Osun safe and satisfied, still needs help to keep up with these measures. He stated that the state needed all the help it could get to keep up with giving relief funds and food to the public.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, on his part said that the state needs all the help it can get from indigenes and non-indigenes to control the spread of the coronavirus and for better plans for patients and health workers

The state commissioners and deputy Governor, added that the state would be using Quickraiz as one of its platforms for the crowdfunding. They urged both indigenes and non-indigenes of the state within the country and in diaspora to visit the website www.quickraiz.com to make their donations.
