UACN Property Development Company, foremost Nigerian property and real estate company, is leading other corporate organisations in support to the annual Lagos Music Festival aimed at harvesting talents and improving the Nigerian creative industry.
Now in its second edition, the festival also supported by Air France, Egypt Air, Sweet Homes, is organised by Five Star Music in partnership with Golden Tulip Festac Hotel, a luxury hotel owned by UACN Property Development Company.
Expressing its support for the festival at a media chat held recently at the company’s head office in Marian Lagos, Hakeem Ogunniran, MD, UACN Property Development Company plc, noted that beyond corporate social responsibility, the company is committed to wealth creation and furthering socio-economic development through sustainability of talent and creativity among Nigerian youths.
The MD appreciated the collaboration of Golden Tulip with like-minded organisations that is resulting in the music festival which, according to him, is a tool that will enable youths to rediscover themselves, create cohesion among them, ensue healthy rivalry, and most importantly, take them out of the streets.
Speaking at the media chat, Kingsley Okonkwo (Kcee), president, Five Star Music, noted that the music festival which holds on March 7, 2014 at Golden Tulip Festac Hotel is expected to surpass the 2013 edition in performance, attendance and organisation. “We have security in place, the organisation is perfect, new artistes are billed to perform while legends will also thrill the audience. Of course, I will be performing my new releases”, Kcee noted.

However, Shousha Moshen, general manager, Golden Tulip Festac Hotel, said the festival would also build on the success of the last edition, and is going to be more spectacular because of the improvements, more excitements and secured venue.
On the rationale behind the hotel’s partnership in the festival, Moshen noted:
“Golden Tulip is supporting the music event beyond just as a Corporate Social Responsibility. We are committed to our guests, the youths, the host community and the development of talents across the country”.
The involvement of more corporate sponsors this year especially foreign airlines, according the Moshen, is to make them brand ambassadors of the country in the various destinations they operate.
Air France, which is celebrating its 80 years in the aviation business, noted that the festival is also a platform to further reach and appreciate its Nigerian passengers who have supported them in business all these while.
Other supporters such as Sweet Home, Tanamont Nigeria, and Best have all perfected their plans to make the show a grand platform to market their products.
Over 20 top music stars comprising both old and new are expected at the show. They include Onyeka Onwenu, King Sunny Ade, Flavour, kcee, Tiwa Savage, Chidinma, Dbanj, Iceprince, Martins, Olamide, Phyno, Sir Shina Peters, MI Abaga, Harry Song, Sean Tissle, Davido, Bracket, and Daddy Showkey. Alibaba and others comedians such as Julius Agwu, Bovi, Akporo, Ajebo, and Elenu will also thrill the audience.
