The Federal government on Thursday inaugurated the new board members of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, charging the board with the responsibility of expanding the National taxbase to 45 million over a medium term.
The board which was inagurated by the minister, finance, budget and national planning Zainab Ahmed, in Abuja has Muhammad Nami as the executive chairman and 13 members.
The appointed members of the board include; James Yakwe Ayuba, representing the North Central, Adam Baba Mohammed, representing the North East, Ado Dajyma, representing the South West, Ikene Osakwe, representing South East zone, While Adetola Aibangbee, representing South-South zone.
Other members of the board include; Ladidi Bara’atu Mohammed representing the Attorney general of the federation, Adewale Ogunyonade, representing the South West zone, Fatima Hayatu, representing the minister of finance, Mairo T. Isa, representing the Comptroller general, Nigeria Custom Service, Umar Ajiya, representing the Group managing director, NNPC, Folashodun Adebisi, representative of the Central bank, Garba Abubakar, representing the Registrar General, Corporate Affair Commission, and Samuel Adaa Maagebe, representative of the revenue mobilization allocation and fiscal commission.
