If you’re looking for Afternoon Tea in Lagos, then you’re in luck. The Seattle Residences, one of the most exclusive hotels in Lagos, launched a daily afternoon tea service on Sunday last week. The Residence also includes a luxurious spa that guests might enjoy before or after afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea, a distinctly British tradition of sitting down for an afternoon treat of tea, sandwiches, scones, and cake. Afternoon tea is typically served around 4 p.m and is meany to fill the long gap that occurs between lunch and dinner.
With their new Afternoon tea service, The Seattle Residences honors the age-old tradition but also brings an ultra contemporary feel and authenticity to it. This authenticity comes through in the choice of serviceware, the selection of teas, and so much more.
To launch the Afternoon Tea service, The Hotel invited Mrs. Tara Fela Durotoye, Founder/CEO of House of Tara Cosmetics, to curate a guestlist of 15 friends and women she admired. Mrs. Durotoye took the opportunity to honor Betty Irabor who had recently been nominated to the Business of Fashion Class of 2019.

Afternoon tea at The Seattle Residences is served from 12 – 6pm, starring a wide selection of teas. The service features a three-tier platter. The bottom tier for an assortment of sandwiches, the middle tier is for traditional scones, and the top tier is for pasties and a selection of treats from luxury retail store, Harrods
With this new menu, The Seattle Residences is hoping to serve guests beyond the very discerning tea lovers.
