The Senate on Tuesday okayed the appointments of Justices John Tsoho as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, and  Benedict Kanyip as President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.

Muhammadu Buhari had a week ago, requested Senate’s confirmation of the appointments of the duo.

Buhari said the request was pursuant to Section 254B(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).

On Tuesday, the Senate approved the appointments after it considered the report of the committee on judiciary, Human Rights and legal matters, presented by its chairman, Bamidele Opeyemi (Ekiti Central).
