Ajibade Ogunoye Emerges New Olowo-Elect
Prince Gbadegesin Ajibade Ogunoye has emerged as the new Olowo elect. Ajibade, a civil servant polled 14 out of the 15 votes to defeat other contestants and emerged as the 32nd Olowo of Owo, Ondo state.
The Politico had reported the commencement of the voting process among the fifteen princes that showed interest in the exalted stool.
The stool became vacant in April 2019 following the demise of Oba Davide Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi.
The name of the Olowo-elect is expected to be forwarded to the Ondo state government for ratification.
