Against the backdrop of growing insecurity in the entire North East, Borno elders are this afternoon meeting with President Muhammmadu Buhari.
Buhari is expected to use the opportunity drive home the needs for a stronger strategic partnership and military/ civilian cooperation to deal with the intractable security issue in the region.
The meeting, according to Villa sources is part of plans to strengthen security strategies for tackling the security pressures in the region imposed by the increased activities of Boko Haram.
President Muhammmadu Buhari at a recent meeting hinted of plans to restructure the secure apparatus that will encourage a more strategic engagement with the locals and community leaders in their efforts to understand the underlying currents promoting insecurity in the area.
