Buyer Voice International, a buyer and market feedback group, has concluded arrangement to survey opinion of buyers in the area of noodles, milk dairies, and teas using the forthcoming Foodbext exhibition as a launching pad, in Lagos.
According to Akomalafe Jones, managing director, Buyer Voice, it is time for buyers to lend a voice to manufacturers and brand owners so that they can be properly guided in their product development efforts.
Also, the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has renewed its collaboration with 151 Products Limited, organisers of the event, that Paul Orhii, director general, NAFDAC, will be in attendance.
Commenting on the partnership, Henry Iwhno, marketing manager, 151 Products, confirmed that the basis for the mutual relationship is to enable participating companies profile their brands for the wider benefit of consumers, distributors and the general public during the exhibition.
In the same breadth, Mike Obiekezie, president, Oke Arin Market Association (food and beverage sector), also spoke on the need for brands to interact with their members using the occasion, who are critical pivot in the distributional chain. According to him, several members of the union who are bulk distributors would be visiting the exhibition en-mass with a view to reenforcing existing relationships and know what trends are in the market.
To him, many of the members are already looking to set up shops in other West African countries as a way of helping brands make cross-border impacts.
Oluwalana Dayo, project manger for the event, also confirmed that the event also has partnership with BBA Market Union, Ojuwoye market, Onitsha Headbridge Market, Aba Cemetery Market, and several others to ensure a good turn out of major trade visitors. For him, the experience of the last events has empowered the company to deliver even better to exhibitors in the coming edition.
Consequently, he promised that a prime channel audience would be delivered during the exhibition.
Foodbext West Africa would be going into its third edition and have over the years continued to grow in attendance and relevance.
