In appreciation of its esteemed customers, the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company plc (Nahco aviance) during the week, hosted its loyal customers to a feast at an organised retreat in Lagos where they were also rewarded.
It was a night when stakeholders made up of airlines executives, cargo agents, aviation journalists, Customs officers, service providers, senior management staff and board members of Nahco aviance and other well-wishers converged and shared the success of 2013 with the company.
Welcoming guests to the occasion, Kayode Oluwasegun-Ojo, managing director/chief executive officer of Nahco aviance thanked various bodies present for their patronage and concern for the company in 2013.
He said that though, the company was not there yet, it would always strive to give its best to its customers, he therefore told the gathering to have faith in Nahco aviance.
Sulaiman Yahyah, chairman, board of directors of Nahco aviance also thanked the company’s stakeholders for staying with the company and promised that the organisation would also try to surpass their expectations.
He said that the board does not handle the issues of operation with levity, hence, the recent upgrading of its operational head as an executive director who is now a member of the board.
He further assured the gathering that the performance of the organisation would always improve as it was implementing its equipment acquisition plan religiously.
Yahyah further said that the restructuring exercise embarked upon by the organisation had yielded results and would soon roll out the six-year plan which would last 2014 – 2020 to help in transforming Nahco aviance to a first class organisation.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of awards to some deserving clients.
Those awarded were: Lufthansa and Air France Airlines which were awarded as the European passenger carriers with the highest frequency handled by Nahco aviance. Both operate a combined 43 weekly flights into Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
DHL Aviation was awarded the cargo airline with the highest frequency into Nigeria, handled by Nahco aviance. The airline operates combined 44 weekly flights in and out of Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Saudi Airline was the cargo airline with the highest volume of cargo into Nigeria. An average of 2.5million kilogrammes of cargo are received on monthly basis from Saudi Airline, while Aero Contractors was rewarded as the domestic airline with the widest coverage and frequency handled by Nahco aviance.
