In a build up game for the Super Eagles ahead of the FIFA World Cup Russia, Gernot Rohr, Super Eagles technical adviser, speaking after an intensive training season with the team on Sunday evening, assured that the players are ready for Monday’s game but not all the players will have the opportunity to play.
“Some players will have opportunity to play on Monday, while some will need rest because of a long travel distance from China few days ago, but it was a good training season today and I am satisfied with the conditions of things here in Port Harcourt.
Rohr revealed that Moses Simon will miss the World Cup due to an injury he suffered.
“Unfortunately, Simon Moses is injured; the medical team confirmed to me that he will be out for three to four weeks which means that he will be out for the World Cup.”
On Wilfred Ndidi recovery, the coach revealed that the player is on a special fitness training routine to help him recover on time for the World Cup.

“Ndidi has to follow a special programme for his club and for us because we want him to be 100 percent fit for the World Cup. He will join the rest of the squad in training after Monday’s game and I hope to have him for the game in England, ”Rohr said.
Rohr also revealed that he gave Vicor Moses some days rest following his busy games with Chelsea last season and also allows him mark his wedding anniversary with his family.
“Moses has one week rest following his long season with Chelsea and to celebrate his one year wedding anniversary with his family, I gave him two days more, and he is expected to join us in London.”
