The Odu’a Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ODUACCIMA) has launched the Agbetuntun farmers concept which is a transformational digital approach to sustainable agribusiness development in South Western States of Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti and Lagos.
The National President of the Association, Alaba Lawson led other States Presidents of the Association to the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture(IITA), venue of the launch.
The Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Odu’a Investment Company Limited, Adewale Raji was the guest lecturer at the event. He spoke on the topic ‘Regional Approach to Agricultural Development: The Past, Present and Future’
His paper talked about the role of government in creating an enabling environment for business in the country to flourish.
He said that in recognition of the pivotal role of agriculture in the renewed strategy for sustainable development the Board and Management of ODU’A has commenced positive steps by engaging in joint ventures to derive value from our land bank.
While commending ODUACCIMA on the innovative and strategic solutions called Agbetuntun, he noted that the platform has the capacity to develop into solution that provides a paradigm shift on how agribusiness will be practiced.
