The Senate has extended by another one week, the ultimatum given to federal agencies to submit their 2018 statutory budgets to the National Assembly for consideration.
This followed the expiration of the one week ultimatum earlier given to them.
The development comes as lawmakers expressed concerns that Ministers are frustrating the 2018 budget approval.
Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Sunny Ogbuoji, stated these at plenary on Wednesday on the update of the 2018 budget.
He also expressed dismay that some ministers and heads of agencies have refused to appear before the standing committees to defend their budget, even as Senate President Bukola Saraki insisted that both the statutory and national budgets would be approved simultaneously.
The Senate had two weeks ago revealed that only one of the 64 federal agencies, had submitted its 2018 statutory budget.
