One of the primary goals of SME SpringBoard is to engage several enterprises and business-related individuals to come together for us to form a small but effective Global Entrepreneurship Network. SME Springboard 2017, which was held on November 15th, had a theme: Fostering Entrepreneurship in the African Continent and had well over 200 attendees; Representatives of Government Agencies -NAFDAC, SMEDAN, SON, and FIRS. We also had a staff of GTBank, business persons, start-ups, established entrepreneurs and investment experts, all as guests/participants.
An event like this allows us to recognize the current strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities in Entrepreneurship.
The most interesting part of this year’s event was the dialogue between SMEs and the relevant government agencies in attendance. This helped boost the confidence of SMEs and they were assured of support by these government agencies.
It allowed us to also celebrate GEW @10 since the GEW event was done during the Global Entrepreneurship Week, and this was hosted by the MD/CEO Stylemark ProEnterprise In her words: I hope that during and after this event, we can all connect, support each other’s Businesses, thereby giving a boost to our nations GDP.
