The Domestication of Minachi by Ifesinachi Okoli Okpagu
Ifesinachi Okoli Okpagu’s novel “The Domestication Of Munachi” is about Munachi, a lady whose parents arrange for her to be married to Obiora, a wealthy businessman based in South Africa. Unfortunately, Munachi not only finds her suitor unnattractive, she also sees how Adanna, her elder sister, gets beaten regularly by her husband Emeka. This causes her to question the essence of marriage. On the morning of the day she is supposed to wed, she runs away to Lagos to live with Chimuanya, her rich but unmarried and childless aunt. While there, she is pressured by Chimuanya to make a living for herself, causing her to get into conflicts with her principles, and ultimately getting caught up in a web of emotional complexities.

CROCODILE GIRL BY SAM OMATSEYE

With time ticking fast in a village filled with deceit and conspiracies, Tim and Alero have to fight for the truth while uncovering secrets that have the power to change life as they know it.

TWISTED AFFAIRS BY STAN-COLLINS UBAKA
Stan-Collins Ubaka impresses in the novel “Twisted Affairs” where he details the struggles of Janet, a woman married to an abusive husband. When she loses a pregnancy after a beating, she finally leaves for her parent’s house.
Her father persuades her to return to her husband after he comes begging, but things soon go awry when he has an accident and loses the use of his legs. Janet suddenly finds herself as the breadwinner and when she meets an old sweetheart, Dan, she finds herself falling in love with him. Things seem to be stabilizing, but then, in a tragic twist, she accidentally kills her husband.
