Ten ships laden with various products, including petrol are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced on Wednesday.
The NPA made the announcement in its daily “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
According to NPA two of the vessels are waiting to berth with petrol.
It said that another eight ships would berth with bulk fertiliser.
The company said that 34 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports between July 26 and Aug. 28.
“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, general cargoes, lubrication oil, base oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk corn, bulk sugar, fresh fish, crude palmolein, bulk maize, bulk salt and petrol.’’
It also said that 24 other ships were currently at the ports discharging general cargoe, ballast, seamless/steel, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk corn, bulk gas, petrol and container. (NAN)
