The All Share Index (ASI) of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed 0.07 percent lower as the market failed to reverse loses which it sustained throughout the week.
The ASI closed at 25,516.34, lower than the 25,533.82 at which it opened at the stared of trading.
Also, the Market Capitalisation which opened at N8.84 trillion dipped 0.068 per cent to close at N8.83 trillion.
Nigerian Breweries recorded the highest loss, dropping by N4 to close at N127 per share. Glaxosmith trailed with a loss of 0.48kobo to close at N14 awhile Guaranty Trust Bank shed 0.45kobo to close at N24.9.
Stanbic IBTC Holdings was down by 0.22kobo to close at N17.78, while Seplat depreciated by 0.1kobo to close at N396.1 per share.
On the other hand, Wale Adenuga Production Plc topped the gainers’ chart with a gain of N3.99, to close at N42.99 per share.
Betaglass improved also by N2.1 also to close at N44.28, while Okomu Oil appreciated by N2 to close at 50 per share.
Mobil Plc was the most active, accounting for 216 million shares worth N90.285billion.
It was trailed by Staco Plc with 100 million shares valued at N50 million, while Zenith Bank traded 69 million shares worth N970 million.
Fidelity Bank Plc sold 41 million shares valued at N33 million and Diamond Bank Plc exchanged N27 million shares worth N43 million.
