Presidency says Buhari still plans to return to his doctors in London
The Presidency has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has invited his doctors from the United Kingdom to attend to him in Nigeria rather than going to them.
An online media organization had earlier reported that the President who was scheduled to return to the United Kingdom to have a review on his health on Wednesday changed his mind and decided to invite to doctors to attend to him in Nigeria.
According to the report the President’s doctors are expected in the country on Friday.
However, Presidential media aide, Garba Shehu in response to enquiries by journalists at the Presidential Villa said the news making the rounds was fake and that the President’s plans had not changed.
“It is false news. We are not aware of the reported advance movements. The last time the President spoke about this, he said he would return to his doctors after some time. We are not aware that his has changed” Shehu said.
The President had on his return to the country on the 10th of this month hinted that he will returning to the United Kingdom for a review of his health in a few weeks. The President spent fifty days in London undergoing treatment for yet to be disclosed ailment.
