The national caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the peace process initiated by the Ahmed Makarfi-led leadership with the factional chairman Ali Modu Sheriff.
The PDP also declared that all its federal lawmakers who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) might loose their seats as the party was bent on recovering the seats.
These were some of the resolution reached after the party’s national caucus meeting which held in Abuja late Wednesday. The meeting was attended by PDP governors, National Assembly caucus and members of the Board of Trustees (BoT).

“The purpose of the meeting was to brief the caucus and get their endorsement. This meeting was to get the endorsement of the caucus. It is not about giving conditions but to move forward.
“Members of the Caretaker committee are not in office on their own, they were appointed by the party and they have to carry the party along in all they are doing. By the grace of God the peace committee will be inaugurated on Monday next week,” he declared.
