Nigeria have moved up to the 67th position in the latest Fifa world rankings released on Thursday.
The Eagles remain the sixteenth ranked African side behind Algeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, Congo DR, Cape Verde, Mali, Congo, South Africa, Uganda and Guinea.
In July’s grading, the Super Eagles dropped nine places to 70th – their poorest drop in 2016.
The top twenty teams in the world remain unchanged owing to a quiet month of international football – which means that Argentina remain top, followed closely by Belgium, Colombia, Germany and Chile.
