Leap Africa in collaboration with Ford Foundation says it is set to roll out eIntegrity, an online learning course in its fight against corruption and aid for teaching values-based leadership in Nigeria.
With the heightened anti-corruption focus of the current administration, Leap Africa observe that the eIntegrity presents a useful resource for values re-orientation, character education aimed at promoting accountability, transparency and ultimately a better society.
In a press statement obtained by BusinessDay, it was disclosed that Nigeria’s ever-increasing mobile internet penetration provides a great enabler of this innovative and indigenous creation to promote wide-spread ethics education.
The new online eIntegrity will be launched in Lagos on Wednesday March 9, 2016 in Lagos with a panel discussion around the theme “Nigeria’s battle with corruption: Are we winning or losing?” Expected at the event are principal offices from the Federal Ministries of Youth, Education and Communication, the Federal Civil Service, the EFCC, NOA, NYSC and human resource leads of leading corporate institutions across Nigeria.
eIntegrity according to the release is an interactive web-based learning experience targeted at youth and professionals. It is accessible via mobile devices or laptop computers and engages users in games and virtual activities that build knowledge and decision making skills around ethics.
“ It highlights corruption and the costs it imposes on individuals and the society, providing practical tips on how to address it. eIntegrity is user friendly interface that allows personalised learning and engagement beyond the course,” the release added.
