The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has fixed the cost of its expression of interest and nomination form for chairmanship positions in the forthcoming Local Government elections at ₦30 million, while Councillorship forms will go for ₦250,000.
Stanley Okoro Emegha, the State Chairman of the party, made this known to journalists in Abakaliki at the weekend following a closed-door meeting with the party’s 13 Local Government Chairmen and 171 Electoral Ward chairmen and secretaries.
According to Emegha, the meeting was convened to acquaint party executives with upcoming APC programmes and to ensure effective information flow across all levels of the party structure.
“Information is power, and it is my responsibility to always carry our executives along. They will, in turn, relay the information to their respective local governments and wards so that the party remains united and properly informed,” he said.
He disclosed that the sale of ward delegate and councillorship forms would commence on January 8, while chairmanship forms would be sold from January 9 to January 19, 2026.

Emegha further stated that primary elections for councillorship and ward delegates would hold on January 24, while the chairmanship primaries were scheduled for January 26, 2026.
Explaining the voting process, he said councillorship and ward delegate elections would be conducted using the Option A4 system, while chairmanship candidates would emerge through delegate elections, with elected delegates voting to select the party’s flag bearers.
The APC chairman also announced that electronic registration and revalidation of party membership would soon commence and last for 30 days.
He urged party executives to ensure massive participation in the exercise, stressing that Ebonyi State should emerge as one of the highest in membership registration nationwide.
“Ebonyi is an APC stronghold, and this should reflect clearly during the registration and revalidation exercise,” Emegha added.
