Amani Health, a health-tech company focused on mental wellness for individuals (children, teens, and adults) and organisations, has empowered over 1,000 children in Lagos through vision-building, goal-setting, and skill-development programmes aimed at helping young people define their goals, build confidence, competence, and capacity for the future.
Amani Health, in partnership with Kreston Pedabo, a leading professional financial services firm in Nigeria, delivered a visioning and goal-setting event for Children and teens as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts. The event brought together children from Falomo High School, Slum2School Africa in Makoko, and other underserved communities in Lagos.
The programme was designed to help children reflect on their aspirations, build emotional awareness and develop goal-setting skills at an early stage, particularly in response to the growing social and academic pressures faced by young people today.
The event was facilitated by Ayodele Fasuyi, Amani Health’s co-founder. She took participants in guided activities focused on envisioning their future through emotional intelligence, self-expression and skill development. Through structured sessions, children were encouraged to identify their dreams, understand their strengths and build confidence in their abilities.
The event created a safe and supportive environment where participants could openly express themselves, explore their ambitions and begin to see possibilities beyond their immediate circumstances.
Activities included vision board creation, group discussions, creative exercises and mentorship conversations designed to help children develop clarity, confidence and a positive mindset.
Mr Fasuyi Oluwarotimi, co-founder of Amani Health, noted that children today face increasing challenges, including academic pressure, peer comparison, social media influence, and anxiety about the future. The Visioning and Goal Setting event was designed to address these issues by helping participants develop emotional resilience, healthy self-esteem and a clearer sense of direction. Children were also introduced to practical goal-setting techniques they can apply in school and everyday life.
With support from Kreston Pedabo, 100 children were fully sponsored to attend the event at no cost. Each participant left with their personalised vision board, goal-setting workbooks, and my emotion handbook for self-development and renewed confidence in their ability to plan for the future.
The initiative was described as more than a one-day activity, with organisers emphasising its long-term value in shaping how children think about their goals, emotions and personal growth.
Kreston Pedabo, a professional services firm providing audit, tax, advisory and consulting services, supported the event as part of its commitment to skill development, youth empowerment and community development.
Through the partnership, the firm contributed to expanding access to life skills education for children who may not otherwise have had such opportunities.
Amani Health said the programme aligns with its broader mission of promoting emotional well-being, confidence and life skills development among children and teenagers.
Through initiatives such as the Vision and Goal Setting Workshop and the Excel Beyond Classroom Program, Amani Health continues to create platforms that support emotional growth, self-awareness, and purposeful living among young people.
Parents, schools and organisations interested in partnering with Amani Health or supporting future editions of the programme can find more information through its social media platforms.
