Nigeria-born UK-based tech entrepreneur, Deborah Omeni, has launched “My Legacy Journals”, an innovative app designed to securely capture, store, and automate the transfer of personal stories, life knowledge, and critical information across generations.
The app, which is said to be operating at the intersection of cloud technology, automation, digital security, and human-centred design, also enables users to document their life experiences, values, medical history, reflections, and intentionally deliver them to designated next of kin.
The founder of “My Legacy Journals”, Omeni, said the app-now live on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, is positioned to support mental health, wellbeing, memory care, end-of-life planning, and legacy-focused initiative globally. The platform leverages structured storytelling and reflections to foster healing, preserve identity, and drive continuity.
According to her, “We are not just helping people write. We are building infrastructure that ensures people are remembered, understood, and carried forward.
“The ecosystem is designed for families seeking intergenerational continuity, first-generation founders looking to preserve business knowledge and values, parents who want to leave intentional guidance for their children, and individuals navigating health or memory challenges who want their voice preserved while they can still tell their story.’’
Giving a brief background of the app, she said: “What began as a deeply human problem evolved into a product-led solution designed for global scale and long-term relevance.
“At its core, My Legacy Journals functions as a programmable legacy system. Users can create multimedia digital journals using voice-to-text entries, audio recordings, images, and written reflections, all stored securely in the cloud.
“Its defining innovation is a next-of-kin trigger architecture, which allows users to assign trusted recipients and automate the release of journals, instructions, and sensitive information when predefined conditions are met.
“This automation layer transforms journaling from a private activity into a deliberate, secure, and time-aware system of knowledge transfer, ensuring that stories, insights, and lived experiences reach the right people at the right time.’’
The tech entrepreneur also revealed that “My Legacy Journals” would host
the Vision & Legacy Awakening Summit 2026, taking place alongside the platform’s official launch.
The summit, themed “Write It Forward,” she said, is positioned as an adoption and education layer, designed to deepen user engagement around intentional living, digital storytelling, and legacy design.
“Unlike traditional vision board events, the experience integrates wellbeing, identity work, storytelling frameworks, and future planning into a single immersive environment aligned with the product’s core mission,’’ she added.
