President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Saturday, urged Nigerians to continue praying for peace and unity across the country.
Tinubu made the call during his condolence visit to Bauchi State over the death of the renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who died at the age of 102.
The President emphasised the need for collective resilience in challenging times.

He described the cleric’s death as a great national loss, noting that the Sheikh’s life embodied humility, service, and dedication.
He prayed for strength for the family of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, the Bauchi State Government, and the people of the state to bear the loss.
The President also thanked Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, for his continued support to the family.
He further announced that the Federal University of Medical Sciences, Azare, would be named after the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed appreciation to the President for the condolence visit.
The governor assured the President that the people of Bauchi State stand firmly with the Federal Government.
Members of Tinubu’s entourage included Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives; the governors of Plateau State and Yobe State; the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Health; Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the 8th Assembly; Senator Shehu Buba Umar, and other top government officials.
