Godiya Iliya Wakil (GIWA), a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, on Sunday described Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir’s national award for governance and regional development as well deserved.
Governor Bala was conferred the award by The Best Strategic (TBS) media in collaboration with the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The honour according to Wakil, stands as a resounding affirmation of the governor’s visionary leadership, transformative governance, and unwavering commitment to public service.

He added that under his leadership, Bauchi State has experienced notable progress in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, and human capital development

“This honour stands as a resounding affirmation of his visionary leadership, transformative governance, and unwavering commitment to public service. Under his dynamic stewardship, Bauchi State has experienced notable progress in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, and human capital development,” he said.
Wakil said that governor Bala’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and inclusive growth continues to position him as a principled reformer and a beacon of responsible leadership. He said the recognition further underscores the positive impact of his policies on regional stability and sustainable development
The party chieftain said that there’s no sector in the state that is left behind without development, adding that during the administration of governor Bala, the State got two functional flyover bridges that are located in Wunti and central markets, which help to reduce traffic congestion in the state.
“The governor did not stopped from there but also make sure that every community get access road for easy transportation and movement of citizens from one place to another. Also upgrading the standard of education, health facilities, construction of markets, provision of water supply, agriculture, empowerment program for youth and women of the state, provision of scholarship to students particularly orphans and vulnerable students.
“The most important thing in the administration of the governor is that the state and it’s people are always living peacefully with one another, not only that but also payment of pension and gratuity to the retired civil servants of the State.”
