The Commission announced that the first quarter of the exercise will close on December 10 and that the display of the Register of Voters for Claims and Objections will hold from December 15 to 21 at local government offices.
Eta Messi urged citizens who registered, transferred or updated their details to verify their information and report inaccuracies to protect the integrity of the voter roll.
INEC said the CVR exercise remains suspended in Anambra State and the Federal Capital Territory due to electoral activities in both locations. New dates for resumption will be communicated later.
The second phase of the nationwide registration is scheduled to begin on January 5 2026 in line with the Commission’s timetable.
INEC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a credible and transparent voter register as preparations intensify for the 2026 election cycle.
