The Scottish FA has secured a multi-million-pound, long-term partnership with Barclays for the naming rights of Scotland’s national stadium, the first agreement of its kind for the historic Glasgow venue.
Under the landmark deal, Hampden Park will officially become Barclays Hampden, marking a major commercial milestone for the SFA.
As part of the agreement, Barclays will also partner with both the men’s and women’s Scottish Cups, currently sponsored by Scottish Gas, and will become the main sponsor of the Next Gen Girls’ Performance Programme, strengthening its footprint in elite and grassroots development.
Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell described Barclays’ commitment as a major boost for the sport in Scotland.
“Barclays’ desire to support Scottish football across all levels has been clear,” Maxwell said.
“The impact of their investment will be felt within the walls of Barclays Hampden and far beyond, helping fuel programmes that harness the power of football to make a real impact in Scottish society.”
The announcement comes as Scotland’s men prepare for the 2026 World Cup, having secured qualification last month.
Both Steve Clarke’s men and Melissa Andreatta’s women play their home fixtures at Hampden, which also hosts the semi-finals and finals of the Scottish Cup and League Cup. The League Cup final, St Mirren vs holders Celtic, takes place on 14 December.
Barclays’ Tom Corbett celebrated the landmark partnership.
“We are thrilled to be ending the year by adding the Scottish home of football to our partnership portfolio.
“Hampden is a fantastic venue in a fantastic city, and this partnership will help us further support the next generation of football fans and players.”
