Shalom Bamigboye, a technology founder and product strategist, has hailed the Nigeria Payment Stack (NPS) as “an enormous opportunity for payments and transactions across the country”. Speaking at the 2025 Kwara Build Tech Conference, Bamigboye highlighted the NPS’s potential to drive interoperability and transition Nigeria into full Open Banking.
The NPS, launched by the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS), aims to unify and modernise Nigeria’s payment ecosystem. Its features include real-time transactions, instant settlements, advanced payment messaging, and enhanced security measures.

Bamigboye believes the NPS will revolutionise Nigeria’s digital payment landscape, enabling seamless transactions and fostering economic growth. He also praised the growing innovation infrastructure in Kwara State, particularly the Ilorin Innovation Hub, saying it’s a significant development for budding innovators.
As a product strategist, Bamigboye advocates for narrative thinking in product development, treating products as “characters” with defined personalities and purposes. His workshop at the conference explored how storytelling can sharpen user experience design and inform product strategy.
