Governor Bassey Otu has extended its rural electrification drive to the Odukpani Local Government Area with the distribution of Solar Home Energy Systems to residents.
Otu was represented at the event by the Director-General of the State Electrification Agency, Hon. Francis Ekpo, who reaffirmed the Governor’s commitment to his First Mantra Agenda. He emphasised that the administration remains proactive in ensuring that rural communities across all local government areas benefit from state projects and development initiatives.
The Chairman of Odukpani Local Government, Hon. Etim Asido, represented by the Council Secretary, commended the Governor for his continued investment in rural development. In his remarks, he stated:
The people of Odukpani stand firmly with the Governor’s agenda. We appreciate this gesture, as it brings light, hope, and development closer to our communities.
The distribution exercise marks another milestone in the Governor’s ongoing efforts to expand access to clean and reliable energy in rural parts of the state.
