…as Zaron CEO headlines 2025 Africa Coaching Week
In an era defined by economic volatility and a rapid shift towards an intelligent, human-centric global economy, the strategic development of leadership and talent has become a critical imperative for African businesses.
All the signals point in one direction: coaching isn’t just growing, it’s becoming a core part of how people and organisations evolve.
A multibillion-dollar market that’s set to more than double in the coming years, it’s now firmly part of mainstream business strategy. Companies increasingly look for certified experts, online coaching now leads the way, and the results speak for themselves.
A landmark study recently found that 51 percent of companies with a strong coaching culture report higher revenue than their industry peers, directly linking coaching practices to bottom-line benefits.
The 2025 ICF Global Coaching Study, conducted in collaboration with PwC, values the worldwide coaching industry at a record $5.34 billion in revenue, a significant increase from previous years.
The same report notes that the number of professional coaches globally has risen to 122,974, confirming coaching as a top-tier high-growth sector.
Against this backdrop, the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN) is set to convene industry leaders at the 2025 Africa Coaching Week (ACW). The week will kick off with an Opening Gala headlined by powerhouse entrepreneur and beauty industry icon Oke Maduewesi, Founder & CEO of Zaron Group.
The theme, “FAST FORWARD: Future-Proof Coaching in Today’s Intelligent Economy,” underscores the event’s focus on the essential role of human capital strategy in navigating contemporary challenges .
ACW 2025 is poised to be a forward-thinking edition, celebrating the strategic evolution of the coaching profession in Africa. This local movement is part of a robust global industry.
The festivities will begin on Sunday, November 23, with an invitation-only Ankara Glam red carpet reception in Victoria Island, Lagos. Guests will engage with Maduewesi’s keynote address, which will focus on the strategic imperatives of scaling an African enterprise.
Following the keynote, the evening continues with a high-level fireside chat featuring influential voices in business and leadership, including CEO of Pause Factory, Enahoro Okhae; Founder and Creative Director of Woof Studios, Adetutu Laditan; Chief Talent Officer at YF Talent Partners, Yemí Fáseun and Chief Coaching & Insights Officer at Cubed Consulting, Adeoye David Abodunrin. These discussions will analyze strategies for business sustainability and talent retention.
The strategic role of coaching in the economy…
“Oke Maduewesi is one of Africa’s most successful CEOs, and we are honoured to have her headline this year’s Opening Gala,” said LCAN President, Omawumi Ogbe. “ACW 2025 is about courageous leadership, intelligent innovation, and preparing Africa’s business ecosystem for global impact. Ms. Maduewesi embodies all of that and more. The conversations initiated at this event will directly address how Nigerian businesses can leverage coaching for operational efficiency and sustainable competitive advantage.”
The event will set the tone for a week of stimulating conversations, intimate networking, and global collaborations. This year’s edition will also feature a LinkedIn Live event powered by StephREDD Solutions and a virtual global summit powered by Woof Studios Africa, where exclusive insights from industry leaders shaping the future of work and human development will be shared.
According to Emmanuel Emeh, Chairperson of the 2025 ACW Organising Committee, “Africa Coaching Week 2025 is an unmissable experience for coaches, career professionals, entrepreneurs, creators, and leaders ready to acquire the systems needed to FAST FORWARD in the intelligent economy.”
