Debo Adejana, MD/CEO, Realty Point Limited, has called on the Ogun State Government to curb the activities of land grabbers, which are capable of causing community war, if not addressed adequately.
“We want to bring to the notice of the general public some developments in Ijere, in Obafemi, Iwode, local government of Ogun State that is capable of leading to community war if not arrested and handled appropriately,” Adejana said during a recent press conference held in Ogudu, Lagos.
The Lagos-based real estate company disclosed that some land grabbers had been invading its site in Ijere area of Ogun State. Adejana said this is happening despite taking all necessary legal steps to curb the invasion on its site. “They have ignored directives, injunctions, and they have gone ahead to continue to build on a site that, even their claim is before the court of the land.”

Adejana maintained that the activities of the land grabbers are indicative that they are above the law. “By their actions and acts, they are definitely sending a strong message to the fact that they are above the law and can do anything they want to do in this country and nobody can call them to question.”
According to him, the property located at Pakuro Scheme 1, in Ijere, Mowe, measuring approximately 76.15 acres, was being contested between Realty Point Limited V. Dotun Lamikanra & 4 Ors, with Suit Number AB/489/2025, and was allegedly invaded by land grabbers in violation of court judgment.
Gbenga Eretan, the Council to Reality Point Ltd, said ignoring the ruling of a court of competent jurisdiction amounts to contempt of the court, hence he called on the government to take necessary actions against land grabbers going against court rulings.

“It is our surprise that the land which the Appeal Court has decided on is what is purported to have been given to somebody without setting aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal,” Eretan said, adding that nobody has the right to trespass on a land after an Appeal Court judgment.
Eretan disclosed that the Ogun State High Court had earlier ruled in favour of the Ogundimu/Akinyemi families, from whom Realty Point purchased the land. According to him, in January 2023, the Court of Appeal (Case No. CA-IB-226-2015) affirmed the High Court judgment, declaring the Ogundimu/Akinyemi families the rightful and bona fide owners of the entire disputed land.
