President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment and appointment of officials in two strategic agencies of the Federal Government.
George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), disclosed this in a statement signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Media.
According to the statement, the President approved the redeployment of Musa Adar to the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) as the new Executive Secretary.
Adar was, until his new assignment, Chairman of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
The President also approved the appointment of Mukhtar Shagari as the new Chairman of NIWA.
The statement said both the redeployment and the appointment take immediate effect.
Mukhtar Shagari previously served as Minister of State for Water Resources.

President Tinubu urged the newly appointed and redeployed officials to be patriotic and bring their wealth of experience to bear in strengthening transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery within their respective agencies.
