Despite prior intelligence warnings of a possible attack, the President lamented the security breach that allowed the kidnapping, praising Mohammed Nasir Idris, the Kebbi State governor, for his preventive efforts.
He urged communities, particularly in high-risk areas, to actively support security agencies by sharing vital intelligence. “Our military, police, and DSS cannot succeed without the cooperation of the people,” he stressed. “Your vigilance and information are essential to keeping our communities safe.”
