Kingsley Amafibe, Project Director Africa for the Peace Ambassador Agency, has announced that the 2025 edition of the Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards will focus on the crucial role of public-private sector collaboration in promoting peacebuilding efforts throughout Nigeria.
Amafibe, in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, noted that the event, organised by the Peace Ambassador Agency and Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, will recognise figures from both sectors who have contributed to philanthropic and humanitarian initiatives.
Among the honorees are Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, philanthropist and Edo State Commissioner of Education, and Kabiru Ishaq Sa’id, recognised for their roles in promoting peace and development through strategic partnerships.
The awards, which include categories such as Brand Company of the Year, Most Influential Personality, Peace Advocate, Emerging Leaders, and Community Developers, emphasize the collaboration between government entities and private organizations in fostering sustainable peace and national development.
Under the theme “Peace Building Through Sectoral Partnerships: Public and Private Sector Collaboration,” the event will take place on November 8, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja.
Marking its 15th anniversary, the conference will also feature presentations of Honorary Awards from the American Management University California, along with cultural activities such as music, comedy, and fashion exhibitions.
Amafibe said the event honors fifteen years of peace advocacy and the promotion of investment opportunities through collaborative efforts.
“This event recognises those whose work transcends ethnic and religious boundaries, ensuring their positive impact on Nigerian society is clear,” he said.

In addition to Iyawu and Sa’id, the awards will recognize leaders including Asu Kunemofa of the NDDC, Sourav Mukherjee of the Koikata Society for Cultural Heritage, Chief Barrister Dumo Lulu Briggs, and Engr. Ikechukwu Nnahasi of Iyke Jordan Group Limited, among others.
Their efforts represent a unified commitment to peacebuilding through public-private partnership.
Proceeds from the awards continue to support initiatives such as Peace Education Campaigns, Health Outreach Programs, and Back to School drives, all aimed at complementing government efforts and improving community well-being across Nigeria.
Amafibe reaffirmed the critical role of sectoral partnerships in shaping a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria and said the event sets an example for peacebuilding initiatives worldwide.
