Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has unveiled a 23-man squad for Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
The list includes captain William Troost-Ekong, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey, as well as midfield stalwarts Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi. Star forward Victor Osimhen and winger Moses Simon are also named.
Semi Ajayi, who missed the last two fixtures through injury, makes a return, while France-based Terem Moffi is recalled. Former junior international Olakunle Olusegun, who plies his trade in Russia, also earns a spot.

Nigeria, currently third in Group C standings with 11 points, three points behind leaders Benin Republic and second-placed South Africa, will face Lesotho’s Crocodiles at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa, on Friday, October 10.
The Super Eagles will then return to Uyo to battle Benin Republic in their final Matchday 10 clash on Tuesday, October 14.
The squad will assemble in Polokwane from Monday, October 6, with players flying in from their various bases across Europe and beyond.
