Coronation Life Assurance has appointed Muibat Jimoh as Executive Director, Operations. She will lead underwriting, claims, reinsurance, policy administration and key operational units.
Muibat has more than 16 years’ experience in insurance. She holds a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos and an M.Sc. in Insurance and Risk Management (with Distinction) from Birmingham City University, UK. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).

Before joining Coronation Life Assurance, Muibat spent more than 16 years at Cornerstone Insurance Plc, where she led Life Technical Operations and worked on underwriting, claims management, policy administration and process improvement. She later served as a Non-Executive Director and as Executive Director, Technical & Operations at Hilal Takaful Nigeria Ltd, where she oversaw reinsurance, underwriting, claims and finance.
Muibat serves as Chairperson of the Nigerian Mortality Table Development Committee and as Vice Chairperson of the Life Offices Committee at the Nigerian Insurers Association.
In her new role at Coronation Life Assurance, Muibat will lead teams responsible for underwriting, claims, reinsurance and policy administration. She will work with the executive team to drive process improvement, improve operations and support digital transformation initiatives.
