More than 200 participants gathered at The Zone Tech Park, Gbagada, Lagos, this Saturday, for the inaugural edition of Tech Forge, a technology conference organised by Infinity Paul, founder of The Infinite Community.
The event, themed “Forging the Tools of Tomorrow, Today,” was designed to create a platform for knowledge exchange and career growth in the technology sector. The Infinite Community, which hosted the event, is a growing network of young technologists, innovators, and creatives. Its mission is “to help people grow in their tech journeys by providing clarity, guidance, and a supportive community.”
The programme featured three sessions. The first, “Forge Ahead with Web APIs: Unlocking Next-Level Experiences Before 2025 Ends,” was delivered by Paul Edward (Infinity Paul), Senior Software Engineer – who discussed the potential of browser Web APIs in shaping user experiences. The second, “Forging the Human-AI Alliance: Winning in a Machine-Driven World,” was presented by Uche Edwin, an AI researcher, who examined human and machine collaboration in the workplace. The final session, “Forge Beyond the Paycheck: Building Lasting Wealth in Tech,” was led by finance educator Financial Jennifer, who spoke on money management, investments, and building wealth in the digital economy.
The sessions were anchored by compere Mercy Ajibade and moderated by Abati Oluwatoyosi Dorcas, while spoken-word artist Sherifat Umar performed a piece that added a cultural dimension to the event.
Attendance exceeded expectations, with the hall filled to capacity within the first hour. Organisers confirmed that emails had to be sent to later registrants advising that the venue had reached full capacity.
At the close of the event, organisers emphasised that “the future of tech will not be stumbled upon; it must be forged intentionally through learning, collaboration, and innovation.” With the success of this maiden edition, The Infinite Community is taking in new members and has announced that Tech Forge will return in subsequent years, expanding its reach and strengthening its role in shaping Africa’s technology ecosystem.
