In a shocking and brutal attack, armed bandits descended upon Wake village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing eight (8) persons and injuring twenty (20), with some victims reported to be in critical condition receiving treatment at St. Gerald Hospital, while Multiple residents were abducted, though the exact number remains unclear.
This has been confirmed to date, Monday, 8th September 2,02,5, by the police public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Mansir Hassan.
The attack has plunged the community into fear and grief, with local leaders appealing for government intervention to enhance security and prevent future attacks.

Kachia Local Government officials, including Chairman Manzo Daniel Maigari, visited injured victims at St. Gerald Hospital, expressing concern and solidarity. The community is now organising burials for the deceased and providing care for those injured.
This incident highlights ongoing insecurity in Southern Kaduna, with previous reports of banditry and abductions along the Kaduna-Kachia road and Kaduna-Abuja expressway. Authorities have previously deployed security measures, including military operations, to combat banditry in the region.
