A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Abdullahi Umar Yapak on Friday said that they were not afraid of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state and also the coalition of African Democratic Congress (ADC) come 2027.
Yapak, who is also the former member representing Verre constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, said that any candidate they bring out in the 2027 governorship election would win.
In an exclusive interview with our correspondent, Yapak said in Adamawa State, “we are cultured; if you change political party, most of your people will not follow you.”
He also said that their party would take advantage because other political parties like the ruling PDP in the state and the ADC will share their votes.

He said that changing political party is not the best thing, urging the people to stay in their parties and fix the problems.
“In Nigeria today, if you fight with your wife, they blame Tinubu instead of blaming the 774 local government chairmen, state governors and President Tinubu has increased their allocation.
“All we know is that President Tinubu means well for the country; let’s support and continue praying for him for the country to continue developing.”
He called on politicians to join their hands and support President Tinubu because, according to him, changing political party is not the best thing.

He also claimed that changing government all the time is bringing problem to Nigerian democracy, “but if a leader is doing his best like how President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is performing, then people should support to finish his eight years.”
The former member representing Verre constituency, also said that the efforts of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu and other security agencies have yielded fruits leading to the reduction in insecurity and food prices.
He called on the people of the state and Nigerians at large to rally round and support the federal government.
