The first edition of the All Talentz Hackathon Digital Contest, has ended in Lagos as Team Imago emerged champions, parting home with the sum of N10 million grand prize.
Waste to Wages tech providers, first runner up, won N2 million, while the UNI-CBT Kigali emerged third with N1 million prize.
The winners emerged at the grand finale of the contest, which held at Lagos Continental Hotel on August 23, 2025, where a four-man panel of judges led by Theodore Chukwudi, a tech solution engineer, did justice to each of the presentation by the contestant teams.
They scrutinized and interrogated the viability and profitability of the solutions of each of the teams made up of three or more members. The judges offered advice to some teams where possible and commended the high-performing ones for their exceptional brilliance.
It would be recalled that ten out of 300 teams that submitted entries from across the country for the contest, were selected and given opportunity to make public presentation on the viability, workability and legal protection of their business models using mobile apps.
The AI apps were aimed to solve problems in the various sectors of the Nigerian economy, ranging from health, education, real estate, government policy, payment system, education, among others.
Other teams that made the final ten contestants include: Team PoS, Boarder Wave, Team Control App, Team Avice, Team Paysubly, Team Eva, Team Waste to Wages.
Each of the business model is an artificial intelligence-powered technology, which makes it easier for the clients to access solutions to a problem associated with health, education, properties, among others.
