Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, known by his stage name Iyanya, has confirmed plans for a United States tour and the release of a new album.
The artist announced on Instagram that the album will be released on 12 September, followed by a tour in October and November under the theme “IYANYA: The Forester’s Son Tour.”
The tour will take him across several U.S. cities, including Brooklyn (New York), Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit (Michigan), Minneapolis, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and North Carolina.
Iyanya described the events as a comeback after a long break from performing in America. He last toured the country in 2019. Writing on Instagram, he said: “Album arrives Sept 12, hit the road Oct & Nov, United States, here we come.”
The singer is currently promoting his single Blue Waters and has lined up a series of shows to support the new project.
A source told Artmatazz Media that the tour will reconnect Iyanya with fans after six years. “He hasn’t been back in America since 2019. This is an opportunity for him and his fans to reconnect and share the moment,” the source said.
