MTN Nigeria and the Nigeria–South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC) have pledged to deepen their long-standing partnership in order to boost trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the leadership of NSACC to MTN’s headquarters in Lagos, ahead of the Chamber’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
Speaking during the engagement, Karl Olutokun Toriola, MTN Nigeria CEO, highlighted the importance of partnerships in driving sustainable development.

“At MTN, partnerships like this are vital to our goal of advancing inclusive, sustainable growth across Africa. The NSACC has created a strong platform for advocacy, networking, and trade facilitation, and we are proud to walk this path together,” Toriola said.
Dr. Ije Jidenma, chairman of NSACC, applauded MTN’s leadership in telecoms, digital infrastructure, and financial inclusion. She particularly highlighted the company’s $120 million investment in its new data centre in Nigeria and its progress in deepening mobile money adoption through MoMo Payment Service Bank (PSB).
“We have seen MTN grow, develop, and transform not only in Nigeria but across the continent. Your bold investments in infrastructure and innovation position you as a pacesetter, and we are proud of the impact you continue to make,” Jidenma stated.
The NSACC leadership also recognised MTN’s active role within the Chamber, particularly through Tobe Okigbo, the chief corporate services and sustainability officer, who serves on its Board.
