TikTok creator Oladele David Praise, known to his audience as ROYALNASTY, has recorded a significant milestone after one of his recent comedy skits reached more than 18 million views and over one million likes on the platform.
Praise, 22, who was born in Abuja, began creating content in 2024. He combines his background in Systems Engineering from the University of Lagos with storytelling, using humour to capture the attention of audiences. In less than two years, he has grown his following to more than 1.8 million users and collected over 50.9 million total likes.
The viral video features a light portrayal of couple interactions, a recurring theme in his work. Unlike some creators who rely on controversial material to attract attention, ROYALNASTY has gained popularity through family-friendly humour. His videos are widely shared by his fan base, known as “The Royalties,” who actively promote his content across platforms. This community-driven growth has helped extend his reach beyond Nigeria.
Industry analysts note that Nigeria’s digital entertainment sector is expanding, with TikTok providing a platform for young creators to reach wider audiences. Praise’s growth reflects a larger movement of African digital talent gaining international visibility while maintaining authenticity.
For the creator, the milestone is more than a number. “It’s about connection,” he explained. “I want people to laugh and relate, not just scroll past.”
His rise adds to the growing list of Nigerian creators shaping the country’s presence in the global creator economy.
