The Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Adamawa State, Muktar Ahmed, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Misa Musa, winner of the Ganye Constituency House of Assembly Bye-Election.
Musa secured 15,923 votes, defeating his closest rival, Buba Muhammed Joda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 15,794 votes.

The keenly contested election was decided by a narrow margin of 129 votes.
Although five political parties participated in the poll, the contest was largely between the APC, Nigeria’s ruling party, and the PDP, which controls the Adamawa State government.
Martin Babale, Former Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, described the election as peaceful and credible, commending voters for their orderly conduct and impressive turnout.

He also thanked the Federal Government for rehabilitating the long-neglected Jada–Ganye road, which had been in disrepair for over four decades.
Voting ended at about 2:30 pm, followed by sorting and counting at the polling units and ward levels. Collation of results commenced at the INEC office by 10:30 pm and concluded in the early hours of Sunday.
