Chelsea’s players have agreed to donate part of their £11.4 million FIFA Club World Cup bonus to the family of the late Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, according to The Athletic.
Chelsea were crowned champions of the expanded tournament on July 13 after a 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the final in New Jersey.

From the £87 million total prize money, the squad received £11.4 million bonus pot, and in a joint decision with the club, a portion will be given to support the family of the two Portuguese footballers.
Jota, a Liverpool winger, and Silva, who played for Portuguese side Penafiel, tragically died in a car accident in Spain’s Zamora province on July 3, just ten days before Chelsea’s triumph.
Tributes are planned across the Premier League’s opening weekend, with Liverpool set to unveil a memorial sculpture of Jota at Anfield and players wearing a ‘Forever 20’ emblem this season. Chelsea’s gesture adds to the wave of respect and compassion shown across football in honour of the brothers.
