Gabriel Okpako Uyeh, the territorial chairman of the Apostolic Church Nigeria (LAWNA), has called on pastors within the ministry to refrain from practices that do not glorify God or put the Church to disrepute.
Uyeh made the call during the annual church’s Ministers’ Conference and convention held at the Convention ground, Olorunda, along the Lagos–Ibadan expressway, with the theme, ‘Who is on the Lord’s side?’
He also pointed out to the clerics that there cannot be revival in the church if the ministers that God will use are not on the Lord’s side; else the church will continue to recycle what it detests.
Uyeh also urged the pastors to settle their personal relationship with God by addressing the question about their stance with God before leaving the Conference. “Dear co-labourers in the Lord’s vineyard, the word of the Master to us at this crucial time is a million–dollar question for individual ministers across the territory for them to search their heart.”
According to Uyeh, the revival the church craves for may tarry and the master may come at any time soon, hence the need for personal extermination. “On whose side are you? Are you on the side of the light or darkness?; on the side of God or gods?; on the winning side or losing side, or the side of anti-corruption or corruption?”
